Giacomo Billi
Giacomo Billi is the Founder and CEO of Alive Capital S.A. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Libera Universita Maria Ss. Assunta in Rome and a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Luiss Business School – Università Luiss ”Guido Carli”.
Giacomo began his career in London in a managerial position at London Metal Exchange before moving to Milan, working as an asset manager for several investment funds active in the real estate sector, including Deutsche Bank Group and Synergo Venture Capital. His experiences pushed him to develop several business lines in Italy and Eastern Europe, focusing especially on his passion: Renewable Energy.
In 2013 he founded Alive Capital in Romania, initially offering asset management services, developing over time the electricity trading and supply divisions, and transforming Alive Capital into an integrated services company, leader in Romania.
Giacomo speaks fluently Romanian, English and Italian.
Lorena Voicu
Lorena Voicu joined Alive Capital’s team in March 2022 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer ( CFO). She graduated from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Accounting and Information Systems, she is an ACCA Fellow (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and an ASPAAS member (Authority for the Public Oversight of the Activity of the Statutory Audit) with a prestigious experience of over 16 years in Big 4 companies. She is a true professional in her field of activity being known for her technical expertise, outstanding communication skills, great attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
Cosmin Baiu
Cosmin BAIU, PhD, EMBA joined Alive Capital in January 2024 as Chief Governance Officer of the company. Cosmin is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Faculty of Finance, Banking and Stock Exchange and of the Executive MBA program Conservatoire Nationale des Arts et Metiers, Paris. With a prestigious experience of over 20 years in executive management positions in leading international banks, state-owned companies, member of multiple Credit Committees and Boards of Directors, Cosmin has achieved outstanding results both in executive management, commercial team management, as well as in financial and risk management. His last position was that of Deputy General Manager within one of the largest industrial companies in Romania.
Cosmin BAIU is the author of some of the best-selling volumes of financial analysis, anti-fraud and management techniques in Romania, of which we mention “Financial Analysis for Everyone”, volumes 1 and 2, Evrika Publishing House 2018-2022, which reached its 6th edition.
George Lavinius Asan
George Lavinius Asan has joined Alive Capital’s team in March 2019. In 1982 he graduated the Faculty of Commerce – The Academy of Economics Studies – in Bucharest. From his graduation he worked for companies from the electrical energy field – production, supply and maintenance – in leading positions, so he accumulated a large amoung of experience. He has had the privilege to act in a period of time in which all the market’s instruments known and used today were implemented.
Vlad Florin Pîrăianu
Vlad Piraianu joined Alive Capital’s team in 2021. He has graduated in 2007, the Faculty of Energy at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, specializing in Hydropower and holds the scientific title of Doctor of Energy Engineering and is also a university professor at the same faculty. He has experience in the development, execution and operation of projects for the production of electricity from renewable sources, and within Alive Capital, he coordinates the activity of electricity production from renewable sources.
ROXANA MARIA MIHAI
Roxana Mihai joined Alive Capital’s team in 2022. She is a graduate of the Energy Faculty at Polytechnic University, Bucharest, Roxana’s passion for the industry can easily be reflected by her career and studies, holding the title of Doctor of Science in Energy Engineering. Roxana Maria Mihai has more than 16 years of experience in the local and regional electricity markets, being a part of OPCOM for 13 years, after subsequently operating in the field of electricity trading and supply.
