Giacomo is the Founder and CEO of Alive Capital. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Libera Universita Maria Ss. Assunta in Rome and a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Luiss Business School – Università Luiss ”Guido Carli”.

Giacomo began his career in London in a managerial position at London Metal Exchange before moving to Milan, working as an asset manager for several investment funds active in the real estate sector, including Deutsche Bank Group and Synergo Venture Capital. His experiences pushed him to develop several business lines in Italy and Eastern Europe, focusing especially on his passion: Renewable Energy.

In 2013 he founded Alive Capital in Romania, initially offering asset management services, developing over time the electricity trading and supply divisions, and transforming Alive Capital into an integrated services company, leader in Romania.

Giacomo speaks fluently Romanian, English and Italian.

Vlad joined Alive Capital’s team in 2021. He has graduated in 2007, the Faculty of Energy at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, specializing in Hydropower and holds the scientific title of Doctor of Energy Engineering and is also a university professor at the same faculty. He has experience in the development, execution and operation of projects for the production of electricity from renewable sources, and within Alive Capital, he coordinates the activity of electricity production from renewable sources.

Having an extensive experience of more than 12 years within the Banking sector, with the last 7 years in various management positions, Ioana Bucurei has joined the Alive Capital team in November 2018.
She has great communication abilities, excellent planning and organizing skills and an analytical mind. Throughout the years she has been involved in the creation, consolidation and management processes of different teams, handling large client portfolios, while always focusing on further developing and expanding the business.
She graduated from the “Transilvania University”, the Mathematics – Informatics section, having a diploma on Economical Informatics.

Oana joined Alive Capital’s Institutional & Strategic Affairs Division in August 2025, contributing to the company’s positioning as a benchmark for the energy transition in Romania and Europe. With experience in international finance, public policy, and sustainable investments, Oana builds bridges between the public and private sectors to accelerate the green transition and beyond. A graduate of University College London with a specialization in Economics, History, and Politics, Oana began her career at BlackRock London, where she was part of the first global ESG investment teams. Later, within the Romanian Government at the Ministry of Finance, she was involved in managing Romania’s complex international arbitration cases, helping strengthen the country’s economic and diplomatic dialogue. Today, at Alive Capital, Oana develops institutional positioning strategies and promotes the company’s digital aggregation model as a driver of regional energy resilience.

Irina joined Alive Capital in January 2025 as Marketing & Social Media Specialist. With over a decade of experience in graphic design and corporate communication, she successfully transitioned into sustainability-focused marketing, supporting green energy initiatives through creative content and digital strategy. Her background includes visual storytelling, SaaS collaboration, and carbon footprint reporting – all driven by a commitment to a more sustainable future.

Alexandra started the collaboration with Alive Capital in July 2017, occupying the position of Energy Reporting Manager in the Energy Trading and Supply department. She graduated from the Faculty of Power Engineering, department of Economic Engineering, at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest. She also followed a master program in Engineering and Management at the same faculty. She has previously worked for an important company in the energy field.

Cătălin joined the Alive Capital team in May 2022. He graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest, with a degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering and a master’s degree in Applied Informatics in Power Engineering. He started his career in Sales, for both Power and Gas, where he developed his analytical and negotiation skills. Since 2019, Cătălin has been active in the field of energy markets, where he learned to adapt and overcome the challenging situations that arose.

Denisa joined the Alive Capital team in 2025 as Office Manager. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest and has approximately four years of experience in the legal field.

During this time, she developed strong skills in organization, communication, and administrative coordination, which she applies successfully in her current role. Through professionalism and dedication, she contributes to the smooth running of internal processes and provides valuable support to the team.

Virgil joined the Alive Capital team in January 2025. He graduated the Faculty of Energy at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, department of Applied Sciences. He has extensive experience in the field of electricity supply, accumulated since 2005.

Chaoyu joined the Alive Capital team in December 2024 as Energy Supply Analyst, within the Supply Department. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. His previous professional experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers helped develop his expertise in ESG reporting, sustainability consulting, EU taxonomy, and strategies for the transition to renewable energy.

Elena joined Alive Capital’s team in September 2020. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering, department of Energy Management, at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest and now she studies for a master degree in Renewable Energy Sources.

Dan Bujoianu began his tenure at Alive Capital in April 2021 as a Power Portfolio Analyst, having first joined as an intern. He has since earned both his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Energetics and a Master’s degree in Energy Management from the University Politehnica of Bucharest. Today, Dan plays a key role as our Forecast & Scheduling Specialist.

Constantin has been a part of the Alive Capital team as a Forecast & Scheduling Analyst. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Hydropower Engineering and a master’s degree in Power Systems Management from the Faculty of Power Engineering at Politehnica University of Bucharest.
His prior professional background includes significant expertise in systems and processes associated with electricity generation, acquired during his tenure at a nuclear power plant.

Nicolas joined Alive Capital in October 2024 and holds the position of  Forecast & Scheduling Analyst. He graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a degree in Computer Science, which has provided him with analytical and technical skills that he applies in the energy sector. Before, he gained audit experience at a Big 4 company, further enhancing his attention to detail and understanding of financial operations.

Nicoleta joined Alive Capital’s team in June 2015, as an external consultant and currently operates within the Asset Management department. She graduated from the Faculty of Hydrotechnics from Technical University of Construction Bucharest and also followed a master program in Environmental Protection Engineering. She has experience in the renewable energy sector since 2012.

Ramona joined Alive Capital team in January 2019 as an engineer in the Asset Management department. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering at Polytechnics University of Bucharest and she completed her master degree in Tehnical Hydraulics and Hydropower Engineering. The experience in the electricity supply sector was accumulated within a multinational company.

Andreea joined Alive Capital’s team in November 2019 as an engineer in Asset Management Department. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering, department of Energy Management, at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest and now she studies for a master degree in Energy Efficiency. She found the passion for this field through the experience gained in a company from the energy services sector.

Maria holds the position of electrical power engineer in the Asset Management department at Alive Capital. She joined the team in February 2017. She graduated in 2015 from the Faculty of Power Engineering of the Polytechnics University of Bucharest and she completed her master degree in Power System Engineering at the same faculty. She previously worked in a multinational company in the energy field.

Petronela holds the position of engineer in the Asset Management department at Alive Capital, joined the team in February 2021. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering, specialized in Economic Engineering at the Polytehnics University of Bucharest, and she completed her master degree in Energy Efficiency. She previously worked in a company of energy supply sector.

Ionela holds the position of engineer in the Asset Management department at Alive Capital and joined the team in September 2020. She graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering of the Polytechnics University of Bucharest in 2019 and now she studies the Master Program Management of Energy Systems at the same faculty.

Mihai joined Alive Capital’s team in May 2024 as an engineer in the Asset Management department. He graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest with a specialization in Hydroenergetics, followed the master’s program on the same specialization. He previously worked in a company in the renewable energy sector.

Andrei joined the Alive Capital team in 2025, bringing solid academic training in the energy field and an innovation-oriented perspective. He graduated from the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, specializing in Energy and Environmental Technologies, and completed a Master’s program in “Smart Cities Energy”.

He started his career in the renewable energy sector, where he was responsible for real-time remote monitoring of photovoltaic parks’ performance and operational status. His role involved active participation in fault detection and diagnosis, alarm management, and the implementation of corrective measures to ensure operational continuity and efficiency.

Alexander joined Alive Capital’s team in March 2020. He graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering, at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest, thermal energy specialization. He has a vast experience as a Power Dispatcher and during his career he distinguished himself by his orientation towards results and by his ability to react in critical situations.

Emanuel started the collaboration with Alive Capital in April 2020. He graduated the Faculty of Power, Energy Management Specialization, at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. He is currently pursuing the master’s degree at the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages.

Andrei graduated the Faculty of Energy within the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and has a master degree in Energy Services within the same faculty. He has worked as an Energy Dispatcher since 2018 and joining  Alive Capital’s team in November 2021.

Mihail is a final year student at the Faculty of Power Engineering, specialized in Energy and Environmental Technologies at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. He joined the Alive Capital team starting in February 2024. 

Sebastian graduated the Faculty of Power Engineering, specialization Hydropower Engineering. He also has a master degree in IT&C Security within Cybernetics Faculty.
He has been working as a Power Dispatcher since 2011 and joined Alive Capital’s team in February 2024.

Cristian joined the Alive Capital’s team in February 2025. He graduated the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, where he specialized in Power Engineering and Information Technologies. Building upon his academic background, he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Energy Services, deepening his expertise in energy systems and their efficient management.

Sică joined the Alive Capital team in February 2024. Sica has extensive experience in wind energy service with more than 14 years of experience. So far he has taken over and managed several projects in Romania but also in Europe where he has fulfilled the most demanding requirements. He joins our team as Energy Production Officer.
